Some of the items ran out very quickly and were never replenished. Around 3 large cakes were on offer and very limited numbers of other sweet canapes was available. The only savory dish on offer was little bacon quiches. The quality and variety of the food was extremely disappointing. It transpired that the canapes were going to be served buffet style. The staff appeared flustered and disorganized. As no canapes were forthcoming from the kitchen as explained by the waiter, at around 15:20 the first food made appearance onto a large table in the middle of the restaurant. High tea was scheduled to start at 15:00 and we were seated before the time. They were not familiar with the price nor was any information available as to what would be served. Once seated in the restaurant, the waiters told us that the canapés would be served a la carte style at the table. As a result we needed to do some explaining to security to be allowed entry into the Palace. Although we had booked in advance no-one had our booking on record.
